The Process
How your session works
1. Time it right
We aim for 28–36 weeks, when your bump is beautifully defined but you're still comfortable. Tell me your due date when you enquire and we'll find the perfect window.
2. A calm, unhurried session
The studio is warm and private with plenty of seating. We take all the breaks you need, work through a few simple set-ups, and bring in your partner and children for some of the shots.
3. Edited & delivered
Your favourites are hand-edited with a soft, timeless finish and delivered in a private gallery you can share with family and turn into wall art or an album.
Studio or on location
Most maternity sessions are studio-based in High Wycombe, where the light is soft, the temperature is comfortable and there's space for fabrics and props. If you'd love natural-light bump portraits outdoors — in the Chilterns, a bluebell wood or a favourite spot — on-location maternity sessions can be arranged in spring and summer. Let me know your preference when booking.

What to wear & bring
Form-fitting tops and dresses show the bump beautifully, while flowing fabrics and sculptural drapes create a more artistic, editorial feel. Bring a couple of options in soft, solid tones, plus anything meaningful — a partner's shirt, a scan photo, tiny shoes. The studio has dresses and drapes you can borrow, and we'll talk through ideas before the day so you arrive feeling prepared.
Delivery & timeline
Your private online gallery arrives within two weeks of the session, with all images fully edited and ready to download, print and share. Prints, albums and additional edited images can be added — many parents pair their maternity gallery with a newborn session for a complete story.
Pricing guidance
The Premium Session at £139 is the natural fit for maternity — it includes time for solo, couple and family-style portraits in one relaxed sitting. If you'd like a more creative, fine-art treatment, the Art Session at £199 adds premium retouching and concept work. Bundling with a newborn session can be arranged — just ask for a tailored quote.
